This is a nearly forgotten sweet preparation from roasted whole wheat. This recipe is courtesy my FB friend Shobha Kumar . As it is from whole wheat – this is very nutritious & a healthy snack .Also since this has minimalistic ingredients – its quite easy & quick to prepare . So here is the recipe !
- Whole wheat – 1 cup
- Grated jaggery – 1/2 cup
- Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
- Clean , wash and dry the whole wheat.
- Then dry roast it on a slow flame stirring continuously until it starts to pop .Continue frying until the popping stops . Cool and powder this coarsely in a mixer .
- Mix the jaggery & coconut well to form Choona .
- Now add the Wheat powder and mix thoroughly.
Your Govva pitto kalleylolo is ready to be served
