Moong Dal And Urad Dal Idlis

                            Idlis are considered to be  the most healthy among the indian breakfast items. Idlis are normally made with rice and urad dal. Below is a different version of idlis made with moong dal ad urad dal.This is usually called Dal Idli or made as Dali Santhan

Ingredients:

  1. Moong Dal – 1 cup
  2. Urad Dal – 1 cup
Method:-
  • Soak both dals seperately for 5 hours.
  • Grind Separately.Mix well, add salt and keep for fermenting overnight.
  • Make idlis the next day.Steam for 10 – 12 minutes.
  • Soft and spongy nutritious idlis are ready.

Notes:-

       You can even add some chopped green chillies and ginger to the moong dal while grinding. Will make the idlis  spicy and tastier. 

               These idlis can also be steamed like santhan in a plate.
