You can used brined avalos / gooseberries to make this sukke
Ingredients :–
- Salted Avalo (goose berry) – 2 nos
- Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
- Chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
For seasoning:-
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard – 1tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Method:-
- Cut avalo into cubes ,deseed it
- Heat oil a kadai add mustard when it splutters add chopped avalo.
- Saute for few minutes cover with a lid till cooked
- Coarsely grind 2,3 &4 ingredients
- Add the ground paste
- Add salt to taste
- Dish is ready
- Goes well with Pejj (kanji) or Rice
Can use fresh avalos too . Cook in hot water for a few minutes then follow as above .
