             Batato Tomato Gojju is a good old konkani recipe.A very simple yet yummilicious side dish,normally prepared to be eaten with rice or porridge.Usually prepared when you have very less time to  prepare a lunch or dinner.This gojju requires very few ingredients.The seasoning is what makes it lip-smacking with a burst of flavors enhancing the taste.My mother usually prepare this for dinner and we as a kid really loved it.

                     If you are craving for a luscious side dish.Here is the recipe for you to try out.This recipe may sound simple but try it out to know the taste.I am sure that  old to younger generations would love it for sure.

Ingredients Required:-

  1. Potato  – 2 nos medium size
  2. Tomato -, 2 nos medium size
  3. Green Chillies – 2-3 or more as per  taste
  4. Hing – 1 tsp
  5. Coriander leaves – 1 tsp chopped 
  6. Salt to taste

For Seasoning:-

  1. Mustard : 1 tsp
  2. Curry leaves : 5-6 leaves
  3. Hing : a pinch
  4. Oil : 1 – 2 tsp

Method:-

         Wash and boil the potatoes and tomatoes till soft.

                 Remove its skin and keep aside

          Crush Green chillies and salt together.Add this to the potato tomato.Put hing over it and few coriander leaves and smash well with your hands.

 Add water according to the consistency you desire.Normally this gojju is not too watery.

             In a pan heat oil and splutter mustard and curry leaves in it,also add hing.Now pour this on the gojju and garnish with rest of the coriander leaves.

            Batato tomato Gojju is ready to serve for lunch or dinner.
