Topi Dosa / Cone Dosa

            Dosa’s and Idli’s are the comfort breakfast menu for all of us Topi dosa or cone dosa is normally ordered in hotels and we can see the kids enjoying them .For every housewife it is a challenge to satisfy the family members with different items everyday.Here today I would like to share the step by step recipe of topi dosa.

 Ingredients:

  1. Raw Rice: 1 cup
  2. Urad dal: 1/4 th cup
  3. Channa dal:2 tbsp
  4. Methi: 2 tsp
  5. Cooked rice: 1-2 fistful
  6. salt to taste

 Method:         
 Soak all the above mentioned ingredients except the cooked rice for about 4-5 hrs and grind along with the cooked rice and water.Add salt and keep for fermentation overnight.

Step 1: Heat a tava/non-stick tava.Take a ladle full of dosa batter and spread the batter like u do for normal dosa and drizzle oil 

 Step 2Close lid and roast the dosa for a minute

Step 3:Open the lid, keep your gas in SIM. U can see the well roasted dosa

 Step 4: Cut the dosa using a clean scissors or spatulla as shown in the picture

Step 5: From one side start folding the dosa as shown in the picture

 Step 6: Keep folding the dosa slowly as shown below it will have the shape of cone/topi

Step 7: Keep doing till the fold reach the end and slowly lift  the dosa  and place it for a second on the tava

Step 8: Your Topi dosa is ready to serve.Prepare similar dosa and serve in a plate with red and white chutneys
