This is a tasty evening snack with a cup of coffee
Ingredients;-
- 1 Pav – urad dal
- 12 – green chillies chopped
- 2 tbsp – coconut ( I’ve added the pieces here to get the crunchy taste )
- curry leaves – 1 sprig
- a pinch of hing
- salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method :
- Soak 1 cup urad dal for 2 hrs.. drain completely and wet grind with very little water..
- The batter should be thick.. ( otherwise it will soak oil while frying )
- Add the chopped green chillies , curry leaves , ginger , salt & sliced fresh coconut pieces ..
- Mix well & leave for 1/2 hr..
- Heat oil and drop spoonfuls of batter in the oil ;
- Take them out when they have fried to a crisp golden colour .
Serve the wadas ( ambados )hot with delicious sambhar and coconut chutney..
