Gantiye Butthi is an absolutely a rainy season delicacy of amchi Kodiyal. This dish is so lip smacking one that nobody fail to do this in the season.
Ingredients:-
- Tender Terya Panna Ganti.. -30.(tender taro leaves knots).
- Jack fruit seeds -.6 Peeled washed and crushed.
- Coconut Gratings…….1 Cup.
- Roasted Red Chillies…… 8 (ramnad)
- Tamarind………Gooseberry size (or ambado..2)
- Coriander Seeds……….1 tsp
- Garlic Cloves………8 (crushed)
- Coconut oil………2 tsp.
- Salt to taste
Method:-
Wash and clean “Terya Pan”……roll it round and tie it to make “ganti”
- Pressure cook ganti and jack fruit seeds.
- Grind cocunut gratings, red Chillies, tamarind and coriander seeds (raw) with little water.
- Add this ground masala to the cooked ganti and jack fruit seeds. Mix well.
- Add water if necessary and note that the consistency of the dish is thick.
- Add salt and crushed garlic cloves, mix well.
- Bring it to a boil.
- Switch off the gas…..Now add raw fresh coconut oil……….Mix well
Gantiye Butthi is ready to serve with hot rice.
