Muruge Pitto (sweet Ragi powder )& Ragi Ladoo

                   Muruge Pitto (sweet Ragi powder )& Ragi Ladoo   are some of  the very old , simple and healthy dishes our GSB ancestors used to make. Life was simple then and  people were healthy because of such dishes . Let us adapt these in our life style to remain healthy in the present times too !

Ingredients :-

  • 1  cup ragi
  • 1 cup fresh coconut gratings
  • 1/4 cup powdered jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
  • 1 tsp ghee.

Method :-

  1. Dry roast the cleaned and washed ragi till it smells good . It turns a little darker then . Cool it and powder it in a dry mixer.3b767-2017-04-25_13-49-18_hdr
  2. Add jaggery, elaichi powder, ghee to the grated coconut and mix well.
  3. Finally add the ragi powder to it and mix well.

For Ladoo :- Sprinkle some milk on the above prepared muruge pitto and make laddus.

 Note :-These  ladoos should be eaten fresh as they do not have much shelf life.
